Adam Reynolds Joins Forces with Pro Plaster’s Winning Team

As the fourth highest point scorer in NRL history, Adam Reynolds knows what it takes to win--that's why he's joined Pro Plaster's Winning Team in 2025.

The Broncos captain understands the commitment, the passion and the relentless pursuit of excellence. But the most important ingredient, he says, is great teamwork.

“You need to have that one goal,” Reynolds adds.

“And as long as everyone's working towards that one goal, and they're staying motivated then anything's possible.”

It’s a philosophy that extends far beyond the footy field and a key reason Adam teamed up with Pro Plaster.

“Obviously you need to have trust in all different roles for football, between the coaches and the players and management. Everyone plays their part. It’s similar with Pro Plaster. There’s the manufacturers, the retail and everyone else that's involved in the company,” Reynolds said.

“I’m really drawn to their core value of One team with One goal. And they all have one purpose, which is the tradesman’s success.

“Even the way they view being a pro—respect, accountability, passion and continuous improvement. Honestly, you could lift those values and plaster them on the locker room wall!”

From Pro Plaster’s perspective, having Reynolds on board is a natural fit. Managing Director Perry Richardson has been building his team since founding the company in 1993.

“It’s the people who breed success,” says Richardson.

“Obviously, we love our plaster, but there’s one thing you can’t plaster over and that’s cracks in your teamwork. So, it’s really important to make sure you have your culture right, and we’ve been really fortunate to meet Adam and share insights into how we both build our teams.”

One of the secrets for Pro Plaster is a shared vision and pride in its product. It helps, Richardson adds, that every one of his employees not only feels like part of the team, but also part of the community.

“We are proud that we were born right here in Queensland’s beautiful south-east corner and we’ve stayed true to our roots. We’re still 100% local, Australian owned and Australian made. In a way, we feel a bit like a footy team too, representing the locals and doing them proud.”

Much like the captain of a footy team, Richardson lives and breathes his team’s values of respect, accountability, and passion. And while they are the bedrock of the business, he also knows you can never stand still.

A plasterer himself, Richardson started the business to innovate and it is innovation that keeps Pro Plaster ahead of the competition. From humble beginnings, it now manufactures plastering compounds, tools and accessories and owns its own retail outlets and online store.

It’s little wonder he and Reynolds get on so well. Both have a drive for constant improvement and inspire the same in their team.

“Without your team, you’ll never make it,” says Richardson.

“It is my job to inspire the team, to build it, to make it stronger. It is up to me to ensure everyone is doing their job and that their role is as valued as the person next to them. We don’t score tries, we don’t kick field goals, we don’t occasionally run into golden point territory; but it’s the same concept of teamwork that bonds us together and makes us the best we can be.”

Getting that culture right at Pro Plaster ensures a seamless customer experience, with on-time delivery, proactive service and support at job sites to support any trade related or warranty inquiries.

“We get our customers, we know what it is like to be on the other end. Pro Plaster proudly deliver personalised service for plasterers by plasterers,” Richardson adds.

“We offer the best value range of plastering compounds plus the biggest range of plastering tools online and in store.”

“To us, that is the benefit of teamwork.”

For a player with silky smooth hands on the field, Reynolds readily admits he’s out of his depth using them on projects around the house. But, as always, he’s eager to pick up new skills and has done some work with the team to understand the products and how they’re used.

“Obviously, they're a Queensland based company that manufactures their own product, and the only one like it in Australia. So, they're leading the way there and obviously I’m drawn to any company that’s leading from the front.”

He’s seen firsthand Pro Plaster’s team culture, and their focus on quality and drive for the future.

“They're striving for greatness in their own area. And as long as you keep raising the bar, setting new goals, and getting everyone heading in the right direction, there's no reason why that shouldn't be possible.”

Wise words and inspiration for Season 2025, as the Broncos playmaker adds a few extra tools to his already impressive arsenal.
