If you don’t want to be slowed down with blocks in your gooseneck filler tube, the most proactive step you can take is to clean the tube after each use.  Follow the steps listed below to quickly eliminate a jam and keep your mud flowing freely.

• First, detach the gooseneck filler tube from the compound pump.
• Then, rinse the inside of the pump with a steady flow of water.
• Next, extend the Gooseneck Cleaning Brush fully and insert the brush into the tube.  Move the brush through the curve of the tube until you feel the obstruction.  
• Then, move the brush to scrub off the accumulated mud.  
• In many cases, the blockage should come free after these steps.  If the obstruction continues, approach the jam from the opposite end of the tube by inserting the brush and scrubbing from the opposite end.  Hardened mud will not be easy to remove, but we recommend that you continue to approach it from both sides of the tube and rinse after each attempt.  **Do not insert items that may scratch, gouge or dent the inside of the tube as this may impede normal functioning.
• Once you have evacuated the jam, rinse the tube thoroughly.  
• Finally, lubricate the interior of the tube with Fluid Film to help keep the mud flowing freely the next time you use your gooseneck filler tube.
