The RP-2514 Reducer plate is designed to be fitted to a Tapepro 250mm Flat box, to reduce the finished width to 140mm.
It is easily cleaned and can be used with chemical setting compounds.
* The Reducer Plate and the 250mm Flat Box is sold separately
- Tape in flat joints using a Mud Box
- Flatten tape with a joint knife (same speed as Mud Box)
- Fill and finish recess with Flat Box and Reducer plate (same speed as Mud Box)
- When dry, coat with 200mm Flat Box
- When dry, finish with 300mm Flat Box
- LASER cut from durable stainless steel sheet metal
- Easy fitment to Tapepro Flat Boxes
- Not permanent – easily removed
With the 250mm flat box and two reducer (RP-2514, RP-2520) plates you can:
- fill the recess prior to hand taping (using RP-2514)
- fill and finish the recess after taping (using RP-2514)
- apply 200mm coat (using RP-2520)
- top coat 250mm (blade width 273mm)
Usage
Fitted to a Flat box it reduces the finished width to 140mm.
To fit the reducer plate:
Slide the plate under the skids until the front edge touches the brass blade holder.
Push the legs down to lock in behind the wheel axle.
It works well in the following system:
- Tape in flat joints using a Mud Box or other taping tool
- Flatten tape with a joint knife
- Fill and finish the recess with 200mm Flat Box and Reducer plate
- When dry, coat with 200mm Flat Box
- When dry, finish with 300mm Flat Box
